This was a truly amazing podcast. Your furniture analogy was spot on. Myself, I’ve been messing around not finishing a chapter, because it didn’t meet “my standards.” But it’s holding up progress on finishing the first draft, which is at 102 thousand words.
I always want to impress the other writers in my group and his chapter won’t. So, I’ve been fooling around.
I’m going to forget doing that, just finish the damn thing, and then move on the next.
